Sometimes we can't even hear each other in the office, however that might have something to do with the fact that somebody is always singing. Imagine Landsec, the largest commercial property company in the UK - naturally, there's going to be some communication issues.
Our client approached us to help with their internal employee alignment, and we were gonna need to give them more than a megaphone.
Immediately we knew that the aim of the game was to create resonant content that consistently brought every member of the Landsec team onto the same page.
Without the use of guinea pigs, we tested attention spans and engagement in an office environment, looking at which media would best retain. (psst, the answer is video)
Despite what De La Soul might have told us in 1990, 3 is not the magic number. We actually found that 2 minutes 42 seconds was the sweet spot when it comes to attention spans and video lengths.
We created a flexible and malleable video template around this length, which allowed us to input information and efficiently provide the Landsec team with updates displayed on screens in all offices nationwide.
As first dates go, we made a good impression. We exchanged numbers and we've had a happy relationship ever since.
Over time we've supported them through various events and exhibitions, and consistently develop ways to continually improve the way in which Landsec uses internal communications within the business.
Robert Warner, Head of Consumer Experience
Striving for consistent improvement is something that we are proud of here at Landsec. Our efforts to equally improve both externally and internally helped us identify our need for a more aligned and cohesive internal communications process.
MK21's ability to adapt and understand a business allowed them to identify the best approach to ensuring internal alignment. Presenting content in an engaging manner enables a team our size to stay on the same page much more efficiently.
